HELP! Front suspension arms ball joint removal...

Guys any tips on how to undo the ball joint bolts??

 

I have removed the cotter pins but the nut just spins

 

This is what Im after ....

Dam out of pic bandwidth...

Jack up directly below the ball joint forcing the ball joint into the socket which should in turn stop it from turning, or split the nut with a nut cracker.
