Clicking Brakes

Hi Everyone,

 

I am just about to collect my 2005 Z Roadster the weekend and while test driving it yesterday was aware of a clicking noise coming from the front of the car when pulling away.

 

The seller said it was to do with the springs on the Brembo brakes, has anyone else encountered this? Is it something I should be worried about?

 

All other things seem okay and he said it was a known issue and nothing to be concerned about (but he would say that), so I would rather be safe than sorry.

Its more likely from the axle. A quick search for axle click/clicking should tell you all you need to know

Yes sounds like the clicking axle. If you are buying it, get them to sort this out for you as it is a warranty job

I have had my roadster for nearly two years now and no issues from the front brakes,but i do have the clicky rear axle which you notice when pulling away, local dealer is very slow in sorting this as nissan GB have not got back to them.

If it is the axle, get them to do it before you pick it up. It's a known warranty issue as has been said.
