I've done them on all my previous cars before but am a bit lost with the 350z as I've read somewhere online mentioning disconnecting battery with the doors open, Windows closed, and then this and that. Lexx Posted May 9, 2014 Share Posted May 9, 2014 The comment about the doors is because the windows drop slightly when opening the door. So if you disconnect the batter there is no power to them so the window doesn't drop. So when you close the door you have a chance of shattering the glass.
