350 Russ Posted February 20, 2014 Share Posted February 20, 2014 My zed is an 03 import and only has 1 key, this is a problem as getting a spare key for a JDM is pretty much impossible, so thats got me thinking, can i buy a barrel and door lock from a UK zed with 2 keys and get it coded to work with mine? AndyG8nby Posted February 20, 2014 Share Posted February 20, 2014 When I bought my uk car with only one key I went to timpsons and was quoted 220 ish for a spare but was told they had to wipe the whole lot and re program everything, would this not be the same with a JDM? Its not that simple with JDM's they work on a different bandwidth to the uk's so getting hold of them in the first place is nigh on impossible.
