Randy_Baton Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Hi, When I try to up the cruise control speed using the steering wheel controls it sometimes resets the cruise control. Anything I can check? Cheers Quote
Ebized Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Is the set indicator light blinking? If you haven't done so I would suggest you have a look at the handook instructions - page 5-16 (for a 2006 model). Quote
Randy_Baton Posted January 18, 2014 Author Posted January 18, 2014 Nope, the set light just goes off, just like I've touched the brake or clutch. It's intermittent so if I hold up the car will accelerate for bit then it may cut out. If I press it up again it will pick up again. Quote
Ebized Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 Sounds like a loose or poor connection then or maybe the switch itself is playing up. If it were me I would tempted to try some silicone spray around the swtich, as carefully as possible before taking things apart. Quote
Randy_Baton Posted February 13, 2014 Author Posted February 13, 2014 I think the issue was my clutch slipping. Just had the clutch/slave/flywheel replaced at Japex and it's completely fine. Not sure of the mechanics of it but my cruise control has always reset when I press the clutch, presume this is normal? So I'm thinking when I use the cruise control to accelerate the clutch was slipping due to be on its last legs and tricking the cruise control into thinking the clutch has been pressed? Might be a new way of diagnosing a dieing clutch! Quote
