Similarly, I was standing on the bend in the woods at Brands Hatch a couple of years ago, with my mate Brian, when this happened - We'd been standing at the very spot about 3 minutes previously, (we can be seen behind the catch fencing at the start of the incident). Motorsport can be dangerous...

Amazingly Will, it missed everyone, including the track marshalls and the dad & 2 kids who were sitting in camping chairs at the exact point it landed. I've never seen anyone leap out of chairs so quickly.
