imhereithink85 Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Short vid of me revving with the new lightweight flywheel fitted, feels great, nice and responsive Thanks again to Zmanalex for supplying another great product 1 Quote
Mikesding Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Nice! Can tell that makes a difference compared to mine. How are you finding the noise that everyone says there is with a SMF? Quote
imhereithink85 Posted August 7, 2013 Author Posted August 7, 2013 the chatter is more noticable once everything is warm and is quite load, it goes away once you are above 2000rpm. Gonna take a vid of it when i get a passenger next time Can live with the noise though, always had a noisy gearbox anyways Quote
ddcboyle Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 Noise can be stopped if u just put foot In clutch pedal so only ever an issue for me when in traffic Quote
onthatB0MBSHELL Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 My Exedy clutch and light weight flywheel arrived this morning from Alex, components and car now with my mechanic. Hoping he can have her back to me before the weekend. Thanks for the video. Also tips on life with the light weight flywheel appreciated. Big thanks to Alex for a great service. Quote
imhereithink85 Posted August 7, 2013 Author Posted August 7, 2013 the noise for me is when you are pulling away in any gear from 1000 - 2000 rpm so dipping the clutch wont work I'll try and post a vid tomorrow of it Quote
imhereithink85 Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Been meaning to get a vid, will get a chance this week on the road trip to Orkney plus many pics Quote
imhereithink85 Posted August 25, 2013 Author Posted August 25, 2013 as promised here is the vid: Its louder in person, my phone didnt pick it up that well, but you get the idea Quote
peteman35 Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 I also have the competition fly. Mines still breaking in at the moment but the chatter you get is hardly noticeable. Obviously if you drive with the window up and no music playing you can hear it quite clearly. But the difference in gear changes makes up for it and thats coming from a person who hasnt took it over 3k Quote
imhereithink85 Posted August 26, 2013 Author Posted August 26, 2013 yeah i can live with it, as you say its not too bad considering the feel of the car. Was great on the roads to Orkney and back, wait until you really open her up Quote
