Plasti dip a freshly painted bumper?

Recommended Posts

Hello all

I used to have my front bumper lip plasti dipped in black and a few weeks ago someone hit my car. Their insurance paid for me to have a new bumper and I have just got it back today.

Will it be alright for me to spray the bumper lip in black plasti dip again or will I need to leave the new paint for a few weeks or months first.

Any advise would be great.

Thanks

When ever I have had stuff sprayed they have told me not to clean it ect for a few weeks just to let it settle or harden up

^ this, a good mate of mine works for smart repair and has done a few panels for me on the mini. he said as long as its all cured properly its fine. It's when it hasn't been baked it needs to cure for a couple of days.

Thanks guys this has helped out, The people who done the bumper for me said that they have baked it in their ovens to dry the paint and they have also washed the car after. I think if I spray the bumper this weekend coming it should be alright to do by then.
