I pulled new speaker wire from my aftermarket HU to the speakers and put spade connectors on the wire.

I also believe that the OEM speakers are 0.5 Ohm whereas your replacements are 4 Ohm, so I'm not sure whether the Bose amp will play well with those.

Instead of running more wires can I cut the connector off of the existing one and stick some spades on?

You can and that's the most common way of doing it, I usually cut plenty of spare wire for the connector though, just in case you ever want to put it back to standard for any reason.

Or you can get plug to spade adapters from most motorist stores.
