Trip to Grinspeed - Great Service & P3

Booked into Grinspeed to have the clutch line, slave and fluid (thanks Zmanalex) replaced after a floppy pedal incident recently. I'd previously not found a Zed specialist round these parts, but Andy recommended Grinspeed as Jap experts, so I booked in and headed off to Leyland. Whilst she was in it seemed a good opportunity to have a service, aux belts and change gearbox and diff fluids (all from Zmanalex, thanks again!) as I didn't know when these were last done.

Thanks to the traffic didn't get cracking until 9, but it was all ready a few hours later, despite the best efforts of the air in the clutch line. On previous cars I've dropped her off and comeback later, but this time I got the chance to see it all being done, which was interesting for a learner like me. Very impressive work from Stevie and Grandad, two pros working away under the bonnet felt like I had a pit crew turning her round for me  I also got to hear some good stuff from their rallying days and learn a few things. Couple of snaps below, cos I'm like that :)

All the goodies.

Cheers Andy (modd1uk) for recommending Grinspeed, it's been a good laugh and good to see it all being done. If you're in the Fylde or the North West and need a garage for your pride and joy, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these fellas. Car felt ace on the way back home, well pleased with the clutch now and the new feel to the gearbox. I'll be back there soon enough for some drop links.

Am I reading this right, a company in Lancashire?! They seem to be few and far between!

Great to hear the level of service you've had. I'll definitely bookmark them and use them in the future.

Do it! I'm very pleased to have found someone relatively close to home as it was looking a bit bleak. Well bleaker than Blackpool usually is ;)

Been back again today for drop links, which were picked up during the P3. Thanks to Alex for the drops and Grinspeed for fitting, as ever, exceptional service and great value. It's an education to watch them work, while I eat a donut. Got fully stickered up too!

Drops (thanks Alex)

I did manage to mess up the only job I'm qualified to do though, stickers (decals for hipsters) think I got away with it...

I'll be back soon enough for the dreaded clicky rear axle, stage 1.

Yeah, I'm a bit of a tart. If I have nice photo I'll post it anywhere!

Not just for Hondas, they now look after at least two Zeds I know of :)

Reckon we can get a group buy going on CV joints and fitting. I've read through guide, it's past my skill set and tool set by miles!

Steve at Grinspeed is a really good mechanic, and the prices are very competitive. I always take my car to him for work and servicing. He's a bit of a wizz when it comes to Japanese cars!
