Had to call it a day from sanding tonight as fading sunlight and mozzies put an end to todays session.

But i am glad to say i have been keeping my beady eye on the surface to make sure it's absolutely flat.

Just got one more area around one of the vents to do and then it's 1200 grit time

And after today's final sanding and three coats of lacquer later...

Bloody hell you've done a great job on that there bonnet, it looks fabtastic regardless of dodgy weave.

Right, two weeks are over, so in the next few days I will be getting back to this with the rubbing compound and then Megs Ultimate Compound to bring back the shine

And this is after the rubbing compound stage.

Easily much better than my previous effort and now I have to wait about a month before I can put any kind of wax on it.
