dakes Posted May 31, 2013 Share Posted May 31, 2013 Massively disappointing that my first thread on here is that my engine has developed two faults, firstly something hydraulic which would be fixable, but secondly it seems like the crank is also gone however my mechanic cannot confirm that unless he takes the engine apart which would be massively time consuming and therefore costly. The mechanic suggested i have two options, complete new engine refit or write the z off. (It's old only worth probably £3k, done 108k miles, 53 GT) Does anyone know of a breakyard that has an engine going?, and realistically does it make any sense to go though all the effort to fit a new engine, or just bite the bullet and scrap my beloved z and go out and buy another one (Im based in south london) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
