Has anyone fitted a after market Bluetooth mic in a 2006 roadster

Iv being playing around with the best place to fit the mic from my new head unit but i would like to hide it away so i can not see it and I can not make my mind up on we're to put it . Can any one help me with ideas :-)

Put my one at the top of the A-pillar driver side

The A-pillar plastic is held by popper/clips so should come away fairly easily.

You should be able to drop the wire behind the dash at the bottom and it should end up in the footwell.

If you have removed the bose, could you not put the mic in the same place as the factory mic? would retain the OEM look

Thanks take my time I get it :-). My Bose did not come the Bluetooth so there is no place for the mic iv looked :-( am going to crack on after tea cheers

+1 have had 2 different HUs both with BT, both worked great in that position

If you route it under the rubber no need to pop any plastic trim off

 

Easier if you do but you can do it without if you slip it under the rubber trim up the A pillar
