Brake disc removal and re-fit

Anyone got any idea how easy it is to do, as I need to replace the wheel studs with longer ones :)

it's 2 bolts for each caliper, can't really get much easier than that...

 

(that's if they come off in the first place ;) )

 

You`re right about the 2 bolts, had 2 attempts now and can`t get th feckers out :rant:

I may have to take the car to a garage to have these fitted :blush:

I had the same problem, it took me two attempts too!

 

I ended up getting myself a long breaker bar to get the caliper bolts off. I must admit, the design is pretty poor IMO from a servicability point of view. Having a brake tube go into the back of the caliper does make it awkward to remove the caliper from around the disc, but it does move sufficiently out the way if you unbolt the tube brackets. Just make sure you support the weight of the caliper once you have unbolted it. A bit of string tied to the top of the suspension member should do the trick!
