n17chm Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Hi, just recently joined the forum and the advice is great, also some lovely examples of Z's! I have a loud knocking noise coming from the drivers front suspension. I had it on the ramp earlier and had a pry bar on it and I can move the "banana bar" up and down very slightly, more so than on the passengers side. It would appear the ball joint is worn allowing the arm to move up and down with the ball still in the socket. Can these ball joints be replaced and does it sound like I am diagnosing the right thing? What money should I expect to pay for a new arm, if it needs it..... Thanks, Chris Quote
Zugara Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) Have a look in the for sale section...... http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/64261-brand-new-banana-arm-compression-rods/ Edited November 7, 2012 by Zugara Quote
ZMANALEX Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) Unfortunately the compression rod ball joint can not be replaced and you have to replace the complete compression rod. I have brand new genuine Nissan compression rods in stock, and also low mileage preowned. All good to go same/next day. Just drop me a PM if I can help you further Chris: Alex.
