oasisniall Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 (edited) I have been getting a slight knocking noise from the drivers side front suspension. Its usually at low speeds or when driving on poor surfaces such as gravel. I took the car to the garage and they acknowledged that there was a noise but said they could not find any wear or play in any of the suspension components. If anybody has experienced the same problem or knows of a likely cause I would like to hear from you. Cheers Edited October 17, 2012 by oasisniall Quote
jonst205 Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Start with the cheaper stuff like drop links and work from there. Quote
Jez @ H-Dev Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Its usually drop links or compression arm ball joint - both in stock Quote
TomS Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 (edited) Same issue I have, a big clunk noise which the garage acknowledged but couldn't see any wear in the drop links. Will be taking it back for MOT and P3 service next month so I'm going to get them to disconnect the drop links to see if it's them. Jez, can you buy just the ball joint and not the entire arm? Jez @ H-Dev Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 Jez, can you buy just the ball joint and not the entire arm? Not as far as I'm aware. Quote
