Yarlsberg Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Does anyone know if there is already a sheet listing steps to go through to change over seats (order for undoing nuts, disconnecting wiring etc) Am complete novice so don't want to spoilt connections set off airbags etc etc cheers Quote
spursmaddave Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 1. Disconnect battery 2. Take off plastic covers over the bolts 3. Remove bolts 4. (Tricky bit) unclip wiring for airbags, electric seats and seatbelts all are under the seats, you will have to cut some plastic clips too 5. Remove seats I may have some pics somewhere I will have a look tomorrow Obvious point, make sure seats are in the right position to get to all the bolts before you disconnect the battery Quote
Yarlsberg Posted September 27, 2012 Author Posted September 27, 2012 also I am fitting seats from an 03 into my ' 08 Gt Roadster. On mine the seats automatically move forward when the roof is being lowered. Can anyone who has a pre-facelift roadster model confirm whether theirs also do the same. Quote
Yarlsberg Posted September 27, 2012 Author Posted September 27, 2012 thanks Dave- do you lift the seat up off its mounts to unclip the wiring or do it all before attempting to takethe seat up Quote
spursmaddave Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 The seats can be lifted a little so you can get your hands under and undo the clips. Once you know where they are you can actually unclip them without even moving the seats. I don't have a roadster though, can't help with the other question sorry. Good luck Quote

Mine is a 53 jdm roadster but yes on mine only on the passanger side tho but drives side might do it but as im a short ass it does not need to as move so roof does not hit the seat will put it back same as the other and find out Quote
Yarlsberg Posted September 28, 2012 Author Posted September 28, 2012 cheers sounds like it is the same as mine- and a bit odd when you think about it as what's the point of it just doing it on one side?! Quote
