Shinjuku Posted June 25, 2012 Share Posted June 25, 2012 Im sure I read somewhere that if you disconnect the battery that the stereo needs a security code putting in it and if you dont have it you need to take it to nissan and have them charge you 50 quid. Likewise the stereo is coded to the ECU I believe, ive d/c the battery before and its been fine (you loose your tuned stations mind!) I've also had the battery go flat for quite a while and needed the code. The battery going flat for a short time or a brief disconnect won't require a code though, I guess the stereo has a battery or capacitor which keeps the memory for a while.
