Shinjuku Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Im sure I read somewhere that if you disconnect the battery that the stereo needs a security code putting in it and if you dont have it you need to take it to nissan and have them charge you 50 quid. I know I dont have that code. Sounds like this should not be the case to me - stereo should just work? Whats the score with this. Quote

HaydnH Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 When I bought my car the stereo needed a code which I managed to get from Nissan. I've also had the battery go flat for quite a while and needed the code. The battery going flat for a short time or a brief disconnect won't require a code though, I guess the stereo has a battery or capacitor which keeps the memory for a while. Quote
