is my bose HU knackered???

Hi foks,

 

i am about to do the ipod hack on my Bose HU, but im not sure if the HU is broken or no. The radio works fine and the CD works fine BUT when I push "tape" nothing happens!!! I havent got a tape in there but i thought it would at least TRY to switch modes when there is no tape in, but its just like, it ignores the fact that i pushed the button.

Is this normal??? I dont want to go and do the ipod hack if its going to be a waste of time.

No its not knackered

 

It's either a screwed tape module or the facia button/circuit board is fried. Had 3 in the last year like this
