When I very first got the car it didn't work - neither did the reversing light. Got my garage to check but they called a specialist in -

After about 40 minutes of checking, the auto electrician said it would take forever to trace the fault so he ran other wires through to them and never had any trouble at all since. It cost me about 3 hours total (including the abortive checks) and I can't remember what I paid him - I'd guess that it would be £100 - £150 or something like that now assuming they'd charge £50 per hour.

I guess it depends on how good a job the sparks did when the car was first converted - if in doubt get your local garage to reccommend a good auto electrician - you can do it yourself but I hate fiddling around and feeding wires through and I'm rubbish at it so it looks like a bodge job - better to get it done properly imo
