14N Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Apologies if this is a dumb question, but I'm gonna ask anyway... Would an OEM Bose head unit work in a UK car? i.e. Would the frequencies on the radio be the same or different and things like the bluetooth adaptor etc still work? Has anyone tried this? I'm just looking at options to resolve the jumpy/sk, sk, sk, skippy Bose problem I currently have. The reason I'm asking is: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/03-BOSE-NISSA ... 1713781459 (Yes, I know it's also grey)! If it's imported from the US, does this make ot a grey import? I'll fetch my coat... sparky370z Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Don't think so mate, The units are 'married' to the car via the ECU, it would have to be divorced and then married to yours. It's been covered quite a lot of times with the outcome being just buy a double din hu. Quote
spursmaddave Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 For that price you could get a simple double din aftermarket hu that will not only work perfectly but look and sound better too Quote
14N Posted April 20, 2012 Author Posted April 20, 2012 Thanks guys, appreciate your comments. Was just a thought. Think I'll go the aftermarket HU route, but might try the iPod hack in the meantime. Quote
