I hope to have it for the 15th March, in fact i should do as i need it done for the fast show and before i go to New york. I have been told its arriving on the 19th Feb, so will speak to the bodyshop in Oxford and get it done asap. I am just getting the spoiler for now but contemplating still over the side skirts and front V2 bumper, but depends on how much i spend in NY and other factors. Quote
captint Posted February 12, 2007 Author Posted February 12, 2007 Hmmmm interesting keep me in the loop Quote
Stew Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I like the look of the new Nismo bumper. It looks good colour coded. The side skirts on Baps car are USDM items. Slightly different to JDM ones. Quote
captint Posted February 12, 2007 Author Posted February 12, 2007 I do like that spolier though, never been a bib fan of the old one, this one follows the line of the car much better Quote
captint Posted February 12, 2007 Author Posted February 12, 2007 I wonder what that does to the rear visability, as I am quite tall, it is already pretty poor Quote
Stew Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Parking sensors and adjust the side mirrors! Quote
captint Posted February 12, 2007 Author Posted February 12, 2007 More about seeing who's behind me than parking Quote
charlie_dw Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 captint - you have asked many of the questions I had about the nismo kit! on the rear spolier - i agree - never been a fan, so was wondering how the nismo v1 kit would look without it. pics of baptists car have answered that question - looks fantastic! the Aerosync front bumber sounds like a good option - looks identical to Nismo but in a more forgiving material. is this the whole bumper or just the lip? only thing stopping me from ordering the nismo kit (from the US) / aerosync front is ground clearance - does anyone know the clearance of the below options (or perhaps how much they lower clearance compared to standard): 1. Nismo front (whole bumper) 2. Nismo front (lip - from US) 3. Aerosync front (whole bumper/lip not sure!) Thanks Quote
Stew Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 The aerosync is a complete bumper. I wouldn't think there would be a problem with the Nismo kit on a standard suspension car. Lowered more than 50mm and probably would be! Quote
charlie_dw Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Cheers Stew - do you know if there's any difference in clearance between the above three kits? Quote
sl114 Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 From what i remember, its about the same as the standard bumper as it is just a lip from the bottom outwards. Im sure someone will confirm though Quote
Stew Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Not having the Nismo I wouldn't be able to give a definitive answer on clearance. I wouldn't worry if you're running standard suspension though. There can't b much difference. Quote
charlie_dw Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Thanks for the advice guys. Think I might order the kit from the US ($1,092 for front lip, sides and rear spats). Has anyone gone down this route? Can any bodyshop spray and fit the kit these days, or should it be done by some kind of specialist? Any recommendations for South Coast or London/South East area?
