Securing the disc for run out checking

I plan to fit my new bda stoppers next weekend.

Just had one quick question, I am in need of some advice from those who have done this already?

When I go to check the run out on the discs, the discs will need to be bolted to the hub in a few places to stop them dropping off and to keep a accurate dti reading.

Do the oem wheel nuts have enough thread depth to secure the disc without the wheel in place, basically take up the width of the rim. I seem to remember them been pretty shallow in blind depth?

If not what thread size are the studs? I will go and buy some of flat type nuts for the job.
