Craigb Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Anyone changed these before? Is it a straight forward job, or do u need a powerful impact socket gun? And a garage job? Cheers Quote
Darren-B Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 easily done, a jack, a couple of sockets/spanners, either 14mm or 17mm & an allen key (6mm I think) It shouldn`t take you more than an hour Quote
trackpig Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 The job in theory is simple but it depends on how much corrosion is on the threads/ nuts. I had an anti roll bar link which turned out to be a real pain in the arse. You can always try the job yourself- even if you run into problems with the links, you can put the wheels back on the car and drive to a garage. Quote
Craigb Posted September 27, 2011 Author Posted September 27, 2011 I was thinking that, I think it's the first time they are being changed, give them a good soak in wd40 first? Quote
Ekona Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I was thinking that, I think it's the first time they are being changed, give them a good soak in wd40 first? Use a proper penetrating oil like Plusgas rather than WD40, you'll have much better results Quote
