Mixing Carbon/gloss black

I am about to wrap my car roof in gloss black and I am also keen on some Carbon wingmirros.... whats your opinion on mixing the two?

 

If it looks too odd I will just stick with the gloss!!

You need to go with one or the other imo, especially roof wraps and mirrors, I think they need to match.

 

Why don't u get the wing mirrors in gloss black? Haven't seen any Zeds with gloss black mirrors and could look

Thats my plan - however I think it may be difficult to wrap a wingmirror?

Should be ok to wrap it if you buy some of the Hexis stuff that has just come out - I saw some guys on you tube messing with it you can wrap the stuff around your fist - just needs lots of heat and stretching.

 

What about a respray? Much easier and can be done in gloss black no problem.

I have quite a bit of hexxis around... going to give it a go! I would prefer to wrap rather than spray to be honest!

 

what kind of heat do i need, i take it a hairdryer won't work!

Well you obviously havent had a good look at my car

I used the missus hairdryer when wrapping my centre console...works fine actually, you just need a bit of patience and make sure you work efficiently as the heat comes out the vinyl pretty quickly. Try you tube searching for examples, have a watch at how other people have done it.
