chriswatson99 Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Hi Folks, My Rays have been taking a battering over the last few years so its time to get rid of all the kerb marks and bubbling and get them looking as good as new for next year. I have a Blade silver zed and i was wondering if you had any suggestions for what colour to get them done in other than their original colour. I was quite fancying a gold colour but don't know if i could get away with this or if it would look too chavvy. If i get a chance to wash my car tonight i'll post a picture up so you can see what its like at the moment. Thanks, Chris Quote
Stew Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Anthracite would be nice. My Navara side steps have just been powder coated in anthracite by my mates company. They also have a new powder in that's like a mega shiny silver, not chrome but much more reflective than standard silver, it looks amazing. Quote
chriswatson99 Posted September 8, 2011 Author Posted September 8, 2011 Hi Stew, Was that PPS in Inverurie that did that for you? Cheers, Chris Quote
Stew Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Yep. Keith and Lesley are friends of mine. They have some nice examples out and I'm sure they'd let you take them out to put next to the car etc. Quote
chriswatson99 Posted September 8, 2011 Author Posted September 8, 2011 This is what mine looks like Quote
Woody Posted September 8, 2011 Posted September 8, 2011 Please dont go for gold. Leave that for the scooby chavs Black is all ways good. But if your after something original go for a crazy colour like green or red Quote
chriswatson99 Posted September 9, 2011 Author Posted September 9, 2011 I wont be going for a nurrish pink thats for sure Quote
Mrzed Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Graphite grey looks really good, but dependent on the car colour, lucky enough to work for a wheel manufacturer who supplies OEM's and see the whole spectrum of colours especially for the footballer aftermarket specialisations. Sometimes it's the depth of finish and lustre that give the effect, my car is a 2008 and the wheels didn't need doing but had them refinished with plenty of lacquer to give that deep shine?? Quote
