Baptist Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Exhaust Hi flow cats Gauges Plenum (optional) That would get you by.
Guest prescience Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Nothing essential. Highly Recommended: - 1 step colder iridium spark plugs (NGK LFR6AIX) www.spark-plugs.co.uk - larger rear tyres (if you've have 19s that's fine) - AFR, Boost gauges (get a zeitronix which has these plus EGT and lambda) - uprated plenum (kinetix, APS) to avoid lean issues with stock item OR plenum spacer (same reason) Optional: - fuel pressure gauge (I didn't though) - higher flowing exhaust (e.g NISMO); true dual not needed - hi-flo cats (stock are OK but you need to get the air flowing as best as) new underpants
Sarnie Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 ExhaustHi flow cats Gauges Plenum (optional) That would get you by. Hmmmm. I have hi flo cats and kinetix plenum on the way from the US as we speak How much labour would be involved?

Baptist Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 2-3 Days with any decent clanky. Forgot about the plugs, set of them as well.

cox Posted December 18, 2006 Author Posted December 18, 2006 guys, I know this guy personally, he's a member of the Italian 350Z club, buy with confidence Thanks Minel...
Sarnie Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Ok, what are the absolute essentials needed for this to happen? I have the HF cats and plenum. Is the exhaust essential? If so which one? To be honest reliability is far more important to me than hp figure but would like a bit more uumph. Would anyone like to hazard at an estimate on total costings?
cox Posted December 19, 2006 Author Posted December 19, 2006 The kit is direct bolt on.... so you dont need anything else.... The exhaust is not essential.... In italy for the installation of the kit you need 1000 euro.... Shipping will be around 200 euro
Baptist Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I wouldnt fit the kit without an exhaust, no chance.
sl114 Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I wouldnt fit the kit without an exhaust, no chance.Whats the reason behind that Bap? Is it due to expelling gasses properly?
Removed Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 fi kits usually benefit from less back pressure, so a true dual exhaust is preferred. IIRC steve-b car had a nismo with the vortech and had no issues, Dorian did you have a true dual?

I see, is it safe to run it with the standard exhuast setup though, or is it best to get something more free flowing?
Removed Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 I think the Vortech is still safe on std exhaust. But obviously if you get a kit, you might as well get an exhaust
Baptist Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 If you cant afford to do the exhaust, you shouldnt even be considering FI. True dual isnt essential for superchargers, as they arent as back pressure dependent as turbo's, but something free flowing is a must.

Is that suitable?

Removed Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Cox is trying to sell a Vortech kit here guys, can we ask unrelated questions (ie what else is needed for a vortech installation, that's by the way already been covered multiple times, and you should use the search button ) on other specific threads? Thanks

Thanks How the hell is that not on topic? Surely by answering the bloody questions is inching Cox closer to a sale
Removed Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 whatever. if you really want to buy it, do a search on all your questions, (that have been answered dozens of times already) and stop spamming a genuine for sale thread. In fact I think I'm going to lock this now, please anyone interested in it PM Cox, put up a thread with your questions, or even better SEARCH. Cox, i'll bump this thread every week or so for you
