solentzed
My first post ! I am about to buy a 2004 JDM and it has the Japanese DVD with it. An obvious thing to do would be to try the UK maps and firmware, I imagine many have tried this, if so what happens ? Ebay has the discs for sale all the time: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... Track=true
lomoto
wont work, you will have to buy UK unit very expensive get an aftermarket stand alone unit if you need sat nav
solentzed
Thanks, I guessed that would be the case. I already have TomTom on a pda so I'll take the navi out and use that. Where is the GPS receiver/antenna mounted in the roadster ? Any threads on this forum showing how to get the trim off around the radio and navi, hidden fixings and so on ? Trev-the-Rev
to the forum. Your name suggests you may live in Lee on the Solent - I used to live in Fareham many years ago.

solentzed
Thanks, so does the radio/cd unit have an unused auxilliary input ? Is there a seperate power amp driving the speakers ? My car (pick up next week) has the Bose premium sound with subwoofer and I have to decide to either remove the head unit and put a new one in or just wire in an external mp3 player (I have one based on: http://www.pjrc.com/mp3/ that will fit where the satnav lives) A complete system wiring diagram for all the audio components would be useful.
