  1. Anyone got the wiring diagram for the three connectors on the UK spec Bose radio. What I am trying to identify is if it has an Ignition feed, as well as direct battery and Accessory.
  2. I now have a UK radio, with 4 digit numeric pin code (and the donor vehicle VIN number) - I have no instructions - how do I enter the pin code ? Is it the 1 to 6 buttons or some cunning use of seek track up down etc ! I will have the radio installed tonight so would really appreciate this information, thanks.
  3. Simple question - if the radio is removed or loses power is a PIN number required to unlock it ? If a radio (same Bose unit) from another car is fitted does it need the dealer to recode it, I have had conflicting views on this. Anyone actually done this ?
  4. The sensors were £24 delivered from ebay, just a sounder no (tacky) display, Works perfectly. Taking the rear bumper off is not difficult, about 30mins then another 2 hours to fit the 4 sensors and put it all back together.
  5. Thanks, I have just found the service manual and I am working thorugh the relevant bits, I'll find it and rip its vocal chords out! I have just fitted a set of reversing sensors that beep faster as you approach a wall etc, very good they are, but the other beeper is just annoying.
  6. The sounder that beeps when reversing is very annoying, the sound seems to be coming from the instrument pack. Is this correct and if so any tips on getting to it and any consequences of removing it (if its a plug in ecu)
  7. If you are upgrading and your UK spec unit is undamaged I would like to buy it for my 2004 JDM. I know the units are coded to the engine management ecu and will not work in another car without main dealer intervention.
  8. Thanks, so does the radio/cd unit have an unused auxilliary input ? Is there a seperate power amp driving the speakers ? My car (pick up next week) has the Bose premium sound with subwoofer and I have to decide to either remove the head unit and put a new one in or just wire in an external mp3 player (I have one based on: http://www.pjrc.com/mp3/ that will fit where the satnav lives) A complete system wiring diagram for all the audio components would be useful.
  9. Brilliant, what great forum !
  10. Thanks, I'm near Petersfield, but spend a lot of time on the M27 !
  11. Thanks, I guessed that would be the case. I already have TomTom on a pda so I'll take the navi out and use that. Where is the GPS receiver/antenna mounted in the roadster ? Any threads on this forum showing how to get the trim off around the radio and navi, hidden fixings and so on ?
