Purchased a set of Rays from a forum member (very good price by the way) and would like to have them refurbed so that I can have them in my colour of choice.

Have done an online quote with the wheel specialists but all in they are looking for £340. Have looked at a few other companies and many seem to offer cheaper but not sure whether the quality would be as good.

Does anyone know of any other companies around Birmingham / West Midlands that offer a good service closer to the £250 mark?

Ok, called the wheel specialist and they are willing to reduce the price to bring things in line with the other company I found (across the road from each other).

They are both really handy as I drive past them everyday on the way to work. Now just got to decide on what colour to go for.

How do you think this type of finsih would look on a gunmetal car?

viewtopic.php?f=61&t=50351 not seen this colour in the flesh but pics look very nice. I wouldn't go with a polished rim (maybe standard chrome or silver)

Other options are anthracite or hyper silver.

any views?

Yup go for that, very B)

They do look very nice but as I say, not seen that finish in the flesh so don't know whether it will look "too chromey" if you know what I mean. Also would be worried about polished lip as I know some struggle to stop them rusting.

Really like your anthracite wheels but to avoid them being to dark on mine, thought that a lighter silver outer lip would look good also.

You could always shade down the anthrecite?

Hmmm surely you could have the lip coated with something?

You won't be kerbing your alloys once you've had them done. I now park 1ft from the kerb

Maybe.

I have loaded the wheels into the car just! (2 in the front and 2 in the back) and will go to the wheel specialist tomorrow with a copy of the post to see what they say. Will get a chance to see some of the finishes before deciding.
