Morning all, not sure if this should be here or technical - mods, please move if appropriate.

Had new clutch and (single mass) flywheel replaced last week. It's great to have full grunt on tap when requested - the slipping had become quite bad in the end.

Anyhoo... the clutch feels fine, selecting 1-4 and reverse is fine, but fifth and sixth take some effort. This was not the case before the clutch was replaced. I'm guessing that either 1) new, functional clutch is highlighting existing problem with gearbox or 2) something like linkage got jiggled* replacing clutch.

Thoughts please?

* Apologies for getting technical there.

Any links on how to do this? Quick google turned up nothing...

Take it back to the garage

The plate is accessed form the top and is positioned around the gear stick.

If you want to have a go yourself then give me a shout and I will talk you through it.

Thanks for the offer ZMANALEX, but as you may've gathered from our conversation the other day, I cassn't work a spanner. silly.gif

I've spoken to 'my man' - he'll have a look for me before he sets off for Spa.
