HaydnH
You know on Facebook there's a section saying "People you may know"? The garage I bought my car from last July just showed up in that list! How the F does Facebook know that?!?! I'm a bit creeped out!
MacW
Someone you are friends with is friends with the garage on FB. HTH.
HaydnH
Someone you are friends with is friends with the garage on FB. HTH. Nope, otherwise it would list the mutual friends - there aren't any!!

HaydnH
I think last July I posted a link to the autotrader link for the car on facebook... surely they haven't connected that to being friends with the garage? It's all I can think of!
James B
Depending on what information you put on your profile FB will use all this information to send you targetted marketing material based on your likes and location. Google also know, and record, every single website you visit but since Google and FB are enemies I doubt they have combined that information yet. Also understand that they have access to your photo's so they will be able to cross reference any photo's of say, fast cars, then again match it back to other info. It's very 'big brother' but the days of real privacy are long gone.

I also bought my Z from a Hyundai garage so fast cars have nothing to do with it. ;P
MacW
You must be one of the Premium Facebook members that they actually follow around on a 24/7 basis then. It's the only explanation that makes sense /nod
Ricey
Same thing happened to Carla when we got 3 of our Degu's. We got them from a random woman in Crewe..........literally no ties to her at all - no mutual friends or anything. Picked up from an ad on a pet adoption website Couple of months later she is suggested as a friend on Carla's FB!
