Rear Spoiler Repair

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just after some advice. California987 has a rear spoiler for sale but it has a hairline crack in it. The spoiler is new and unfitted.

Having spoken to a local body shop re. repair, painting and fitting they couldn't guarantee repair. my concern is that it might open up again and that would really upset me!!

So any words of wisdom based on previous experience???

Please don't gazzump me on spoiler.

Asked California987's permission first.

Loving the new Zed and this Forum!! Seem to be spending an unhealthy amount of time on it, to the extent that the wife is convinced I'm up to something dodgy!!

Thanks in advance.

I think that you could repair that with some 3M 9323. We often get cracks in parts, and this stuff is awesome,we use it to bond the chassis together,so if its good enough for that, then im sure it could hold your spoiler together. I wouldnt use just body filler, that will crack and fall out pretty easily.
