Window won't stay closed...

For some reason my drivers side window has taken on a life of its own - when I use the auto close it winds all the way up then winds down to half way open again. If I hold the button it closes and stays up.

 

I've tried turning off the ignition and trying again but it does the same thing - also doesn't matter if the door is open or closed. My best guess is that it's not stopping when it's right up so it keeps winding, gets stuck when it hits its limit, thinks its got something jammed in the door so releases.

 

Any better suggestions or ideas on how I fix it?

try a window reset procedure, found in the guides section of the forum

Pretty sure there's a guide for a window reset procedure , definitely worth a try someone will be along to give u a definitive answer, worth a try in the guides section

I had the same problem with mine

You have to take door card off and there is a hole you have to poke ( i think they say switch but when I looked at it it was more like pushing a mechanical part in)
