From A to Zed Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 As per the title really! After a ten year break from biking I have decided to ‘dip my toe in the water’ in the form of a Kona Cinder Cone from ebay The only problem is that the bike is located in Birmingham and I need to collect it. Does anyone know if it will squeeze in the 350z if I remove the wheels and seat? The frame is 17â€. Thanks all, Matt Quote
Michael robinson Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Dont think so mate even if u striped it completely u would struggle To fit a bike frame in Quote
Clarkie Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I'm determined to get my bike in so shall be trying tomorrow. Shall let you know the results. Quote
From A to Zed Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 I assumed that would be the case I will have to borrow a car from a friend or take the train! Quote
Cookbot Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Yes, yes it will. I've had my XL Giant anthem and my size 60cm Ribble road bike in there at the same time and both in the boot. remove the space saver and you can get both wheels in there. Take the forks out the head tube and it'll go very easily. Like I said I had 2 in at once. Quote
SparksCW Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 What.. no! haha I'd like to see this, I can barely get anything in the Zed.. once picked up a fish tank from my mums, only a little one but that didn't bloody fit! and I once picked my dad up from basingstoke at a meeting and due to a leg injury he took a small footstool, I have no idea how I managed to squeeze that in but it only just fit in.. can't ever imagine trying to fit a push bike into my Zed good luck! ace Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 get a train up and ride it back I live close to you mate not seen your car about though Quote
Cookbot Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Oh yea, pedals off too. So that's a 15mm spanner, a 4mm and 5mm hex key. Sorted! Quote
From A to Zed Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 Thanks cookbot & sarnie. I have just checked AK350Z's posts and there is indeed a picture of his bike in his Zed. I am tempted to take the train to be honest and spare myself the potential of scuffing my interior! Ace, I am a central line man during the week. My 350z is a weekend toy Quote
Peter10 Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I will have to try this. I have a 56cm Bianchi and never thought it would fit. there's no way I'm getting a Brompton either! Quote
AK350Z Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Ask and ye shall recieve! 17" Hardtail, you need to remove both wheels, pedals, the stem and then drop the forks out. Remember plenty of towels to stop things getting scratched! Don't know if a roady would fit, the top tube on my bike is quite low which helps. Rear view: Plenty of space left for toolbox, track pump and gear! Quote
