Seat Motor stuck.

Hi Guys, Hope all is well with you and the motor! Unfortunately mine is'nt too well.............I have a problem with my Drivers seat,,,,I twill not Decline, so it is now permanently stuck right back and wont come back up? The forward and Backward motion still works as does the reclining, but wont come back up!! has anyone else had this problem and is it a common fault with early Z models??? Cheers

check to the cable connectors under the seat. Sometimes they can become loose

Also, and I accept that this is risky, a very similar thing happened to me once. After banging the seat in a few places, the way I solved that particular problem was to recline it to the max in the direction in which it will work and then go the other way. It worked every time while I had the issue. With me it was just a case of the seat being in a weird position for the motor to push back the other way. The downside is if it doesn't work, your seat is really undriveable!

happened to me a while back - turned out to be a dodgy switch - move switch back and forward several times (quickly and hard) and it might clear (did for me) - I replaced switch in the end though

Try contact cleaner or wd40 on the switch. It takes 30 seconds and has worked for 8 months and counting (what's the betting it won't work tomorrow).

It does sound like a contact issue, failing that use some pillows and bits of 2x4 screwed to the pedals and jobs a good'un
