anyone fitted an ebay exhaust.

Hi guys and girls

For some strange reason the backbox on my Z and split at the flange so needs replacing.

I thought I would take the opotunity to upgrade it to a stainless one.

Now theres quite a few on Ebay. Has anyone got any experience in fitting 1 of these ebay exhausts and if so did you have any issues with fitting.

Any help would be great.

I have just bought one similar this week , yours is a toyosports one, a few people have them on here

 

I believe they are ok but hangers may need bending for a perfect fit , sound 30% louder than stock

 

I have just bought one from ebay 2fast2cool which is japspeed K2 fitting tomoz !

I dont really want something loud as its a roadster.

Any advice on what to go for. I dont really want to pay mega money, which is why these ebay ones caught my eye.

If possible get it repaire or try posting on here "uk exhaust wanted" or seach on ebay breaking 350z and email them,jdm will be cheaper but im told its much quieter than uk

As with all cheap exhausts, expect the fit to be slightly off and that you'll need a friendly garage to tweak it. See previous threads about this exhaust:

I'd highly recommend the scorpion. Not much louder than stock but certainly has a great tone and allows the v6 to be heard.

Ah what price is the eBay exhaust? I got my scorpion for 300 delivered from eBay. I think it's about 325 now or 330. I would recommend trying to scrape up that little extra as a poor fitting exhaust will cost more to fit and end up working out about the same.

The scorpion is an extra 100 quid, and unfortunatly I have to tax it this month too.

Lmao. The flange has came clean off the backbox do I don't think a bandage would work lol.

If you can't afford a Scorpion then get your local garage to cut the flange off and weld in a piece of pipe that will slide over both sections. This should cost you no more than £40. Then you can save up, don't waste money on cheap parts you will only be disappointed.
