Paintshield saves paint from cat scratches

Exactly a week after picking up my Z and having it Paintshield'ed, I was at my sisters when we heard a a bang as her cat had jumped on my bonnet and slid off into the garage door! :scare::angry:

Unfortunately he tried to cling on and left a few little scratches and a couple of plucks in the Paintshield. I assume this is because the Paintshield was new had not yet fully hardened.

Any way my paintwork was fine.

I rang Tom for advise on what to do. After he stopped laughing he was very helpful. He told me to get some rubbing alcohol and soak some kitchen paper in it and leave it on the scratches for minute or two. Then add some more alcohol and rub it in. Doing this removed all the little scratches an all the raised bits from the plucks, leaving just a little nick right at the edge of the film. I'm sure if I drink the rest of the alcohol I won't even notice that :yuck:

So Paintshield saved my paintwork and probably the cat's life :teeth:

I can send you some offcuts to wrap the cat in if you like :) May de-fur the little so and so upon removel though :)

Only if its stong enough to declaw him when I pull it off.

I love cats... when they're inside! My roof has a lot of marks from the neighbours cat sitting on it during sunny weather, leaving lights scratches

Fell out with my last neighbours for spraying their cat with a hose for sitting on my bonnet :D

I thought of that, but it'll probably cause even more scratches as it gets angry and releases it nails into the paint!
