Westway Nissan Basingstoke - servicing

Hi - has anyone used Westway Nissan based in Basingstoke for servicing?

When I called the other day to ask a few questions, the guy in servicing dept was very helpful, but I read on the threads that their Aldershot branch gets the  so be great to hear of any experiences!

Also, if anyone knows of any good independents around this area please

Cheers :)

I've given Basingstoke the thumbs down previously  Used to be fine years ago with honest guys working there, but went down hill with work not done as promised, parts not turning up, etc...

If you really must use a main dealer, I've had a good experience at Martins Winchester (buying and warranty work).

Chris`I has recommended VAG specialist SJB in Chineham, although bizarrely they wouldn't touch my dad's Golf when he inquired about solving an engine problem... "Don't have the special tools"

Decided to give a local outfit the chance to fit it as I fancied trying them out after rave reviews from various people I know. SJB Autotech in Basingstoke are VAG specialists, but Jim and his team love working on any nice car, and love the Zeds (350z/370z).

I have not had any problems with west way in B'stoke, The service dept seem to be polite, car is done on time and technically they seem to know there way round the car, plus you get the stamp

If they offer a valet....and if your car cleaning standards are the same as mine.... don't bother

Just a general comment on any main dealer servicing, do any little things yourself a few days before.....such as Wipers, washer fluid etc.... then if you firstly point it out to them when you drop the car off then see it on the bill just complain and get it taken off again. My mate used to leave the empty packets/nearly empty items of whatever he had done in the passenger foot well as an extra hint.

I always state then if any "extra" work needs to be done then phone me BEFORE proceeding.

Just my two pence :D

Think the guys have covered it. West Way aren't anywhere near as good as they were a few years back but you could do worse. SJB are very good as general mechanics as far as Nissan go so if you just want a service see what they say, my family and the missis family use then for servicing our VAG cars and they are very good, but nt had them do any work on my car yet bar he exhaust which again they did a good job on.

There's also TGM Sport in Fleet who now have quite a bit of experience with 350z's

Cheers for all the pointers  It sounds as though I should look elsewhere.....

I have a A6 3.0TDI which SJB service for me - Jim and Kelly are v good, so I will have a word with them about the Zed.

Had not heard of Rising Run Performance - will give them a call.

I'll let you know how I get on :D
