Rear rotor skimming.

I need to get my rear brake rotors skimmed. I was planning getting them done on the car at a pro cut equipped garage. Is it safe to do this with my UK 08 plate. Just I read something on here about not testing brakes on rollers and damage to the LSD. Surely an on car brake lathe spinning one wheel at a time can’t be good?
