daveparkin
Hi, My car (57-plate 313 GT) has been to the dealers for some warranty work. While it was there, they have road-tested it, and diagnosed that it needs a replacement rev counter, as the movement is a bit jumpy/bouncy. They say this means a whole new cluster, and that will reset my mileage to zero, which they cannot adjust (currently approx. 13,400). Having only had the car 2.5 weeks, this is a bit annoying as, even fully documented, it doesn't look too clever on the car's history file. I have 2 questions: 1) Are they right that they cannot adjust the mileage of the new cluster to the correct mileage of the car? 2) Do other people have a slightly jumpy/bouncy rev counter? Thanks!
