It is true that with polished lips that one stone chip through the laquer can ruin the finish as water gets in, this happened with my Rotas on the OEM finish. However the proper powder coat laquer that decent shops like S&P and Lepsons use is inherently stronger and thicker. When I had mine redone again, and done properly, the finish was far better and only discoloured when I caught a kerb, no problems with stone chips :blush:
