Chris`I Posted June 22, 2010 Share Posted June 22, 2010 Depending on where you take it, it might or might not be part of their normal price. I was once told that if the car is within warranty, then you have to have it done as part of the service, and is included in what most garages call a P1 service. You supposidly have to have it hooked up to keep the Nissan warranty. Once you are out of warranty, you can have a service where they dont hook it up and they make it cheaper. At WLMG they call this an L1 service rather than P1. Its exactly the same, just they dont hook up the diagnostics. It costs extra as Nissan charge them to use the computer.
