Trog Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Off for my trek around France soon in the Z. For all you peeps that have done this before, can you recommend any good campsites/B&Bs/Hotels to stop at en-route. Autoroute Map attached for my main route (autoroute file + jpg), but plan to stop in smaller villages in-between. Quote
Removed Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 looks awesome! I stayed in a great b&b around Nice but can't remember the name Quote
mugwump Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Looks like a stunning trip! an ideal run for a group trip for next year perhaps Afraid your route misses most of the places I have stopped over so cant offer much, sorry Quote
Mathys Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Maybe it's a bit over the top, but one my Irish colleagues is a big fan of Rough Guides. He has them for multiple countries and these can point you towards dogdy little restaurants in small alleys which are exactly the best places to go to for food! Have a look: www.amazon.co.uk under books; 'Rough Guide" Quote
Removed Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 agree! I have a rough guide to norway ready to be used in 2 weeks Quote

hanel Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 I'm off to France too. Must be around the sametime. Going to be on through the Tunnel on Friday the 15th and staying over in Reims on Friday night and then travelling down to St. Tropez (around about points 12 and 13 on your map) on Saturday for a week. If you fancy a break and a glass of wine then you're more than welcome to stop by. Quote
