Hi all,

im not to sure were to post this please move if in wrong topic,

i started my motor this morning to give it a clean and i moved it about 20 meters in to a clear spot and upon moving i dipped the clutch pedal in and the engine started to squeek!! :scare: ,

i had heard it before on the wifes car on start up and i thought it could be the belts or summink, i have had the car a month now and done around 600miles, this is the first time it has happened

if it is the belt can i get it sorted?

any info on this would be appreciated

thanks all :teeth:

auxiliary belts need tightened probably.

+1 check the condition of them and make sure they are tight. Even if they are tight, if there is any moisture around them, they can slip anyway. Tightening them will likely be the fix though.

thanks for the fast reply guys, Aux belt is situated wear and can i do it myself or will i have to get some one to do it?, it has been raining a bit lately so i reckon moisture could have a bit to do with it!

Aux belts are between the radiator and the engine block, they are the things that look like belts

If you dont know where to find them probably best to get someone else to tighten them

Are they not self adjusting? Mine squeek when cold. Chap at the garage is going to have a look, he thinks it may be a cheap belt. :headhurt:
