i believe its some kind of phone connector, anyone know if its possible to change it or get an adaptor for a different phone type?

yep got the same in mine, i think its the JDM connection for the phone cradle but theres nothing to change it

My sister, who is half Japanese, translated it as " phone a friend - you know it makes sense "

have you ever looked where the other end of the cable goes to? maybe possible to swap it outcompletely, hmmmmm, may have to have a look

yeah i have it goes behind my heater controls then get spliced into the wiring harness, completly bottled it then
