ToffeeZ Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I took my key to a local Garage to have my key coded. I have got the four digit code and when programmed by their reader the key will start the car for a couple of times and then ..... it stops working. It's as if the key loses the programme. I have changed the battery so i know that's not the problem. Any help would be appreciated Quote
bhavin85 Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Does it only happen with one key? or does this happen with all of your keys? It could the soldering where the battery terminals connect to the circuit board...they might have snapped or something.... Quote

Stew Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I seem to remember this happening to another member. I'm sure ZMANALEX diagnosed it. I have a feeling it was a BCM issue.... Not entirely sure though... Quote

andyvvc Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Have you tried the Key Fob reset procedure? If you do try it, you need to sync BOTH KEYS in the same procedure cycle. I didnt first time, and then my main key worked again (after a new battery) but my spare stopped working doh! When i sync'd BOTH keys in the same go, they both worked fine. Seems that doing a sync on one key only will stop the other from working. There is a decent guide to key fob sync on this forum iirc. Its what i used last year when my fob battery died. Quote
