cfoster Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 As above had my K1 and Y pipe fitted today and my god its loud!! Sounds fappin awesome. Only problem is i've got to drive up to the Lake District in a few weeks (300 miles each way) and the missus isnt too pleased with the noise!!!! I said i'll buy her some ear defenders but it didnt go down too well!!! Anyway i got the bungs with the exhaust as well but havent tried fitting them yet but was wondering will it silence it enough or do they just cut out a small amount of noise? Not too sure what they exactly do?! Chris Quote
IanS16 Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Definitely fit the bungs for long motorway journeys, I went to France last year and had to have them in on the way to and from Dover as it was unbearable. I took the out once I got there though as I do love the sound without bungs To answer your question the bungs take away a lot of the in cabin drone but IMO make the K1 sound a bit raspy. Quote
ian.lewkowicz Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 I have been advised to only not leave the bungs in, is this correct? Or can they be left in without too much consequence? Quote
rich5259 Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Pardon? I was in the dyno cell when IanS16's car was running without bungs and I still can't hear properly 6 months later Quote
Chadwick Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 my zed's got a k1 i drove 8 hours 2 get it back when i bought it with the bungs in and didnt think it was too loud but when i took them out it was alot louder , ive kept mine out tho because i think it sounds better and defo looks better with them out Quote
ian.lewkowicz Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Is anyone running the K1 with the bungs in permanently? Quote
IanS16 Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Is anyone running the K1 with the bungs in permanently? Nurrish did for a good few months. Dont see why there would be any problems at all Pretty sure there are a few people with them in. Quote
