cookiemonster Posted March 15, 2010 Share Posted March 15, 2010 I was washing the wheels of the car today and when going over the sidewall of the tyre i notices a 1/2 inch slice, thinking that maybe it had rubbed against something i scrubbed it a little and noticed it went ALOT deeper. The hole probably goes about 1 inch deep, so im guessing someone has taken a knife to it However the tyre is still at the right presure and isnt losing any air, what im questioning is do you think its best to get another tyre? Im not sure how its managed to go that deep without damaging it, what i dont want is the tyre to get warm and then possibly cause a blowout! Anyone had this before? It is now a weak point in the tyre so if you were to hit a pothole or something, that will be the point of least resistance and it could all end badly if it is that deep.
